Vinca—named after the periwinkle plant—is a family-operated company that produces green cleaning products from organic ingredients sustainably harvested at their biodynamic farm in Astoria, OR.  Vinca celebrates the rhythm of the seasons by bringing botanical-based cleaners into homes across the West Coast.
Problem to solve:
With an abundance of eco-friendly cleaning products in the marketplace, how might we develop a unique brand identity for a sustainable e-commerce product and tell a cohesive story through the visual expression and opening experience of an initial welcome kit?

Solution:
Offered in quarterly shipments, Vinca's plant-based cleaners are made with native plants that grow along the Oregon coastline, and reflect the season in which they're harvested. This celebration of seasonality is communicated by lush illustrations of each shipment's scents covering the interior of the box.
To create a more sustainable solution, the dieline for Vinca's initial shipment kit is created from a single sheet of cardboard and features a compostable mycelium tray to cushion the product through transit.
The branding for Vinca features the periwinkle and a lush, natural color palette that reflects the organic nature of the product. An arched doorway motif used for the logo, address label space, and sticker speaks to the crafting of a beautiful home environment.
